Beautiful heavy Bybee pottery pitcher. I purchased this piece from Bybee pottery in Waco Kentucky in the 1990s.
At that time, the pottery would open its doors one day a week for people to purchase the freshly made pottery pieces. I would arrive at the pottery around 5:30 in the morning to stand in line to pick out what I wanted.
Customers would rush inside to take pieces off the dusty shelves of the small building and place them on the floor which was a sign that no one else could get them. It was a frenzy.
This is one of my few remaining pieces as I have sold most of it off or given it to family members. The 200 year old pottery closed its doors in 2011.
Condition:
Very good condition. There is one glaze pop on the rim, which is original to the piece.
Dimensions:
6” tall x 8.5” spout to handle x 6.5” across middle x 4.5” across bottom
