Vintage Buckaroo Club Hat – Spenard Alaska Bar Hat – Defunct Nightclub Memorabilia
Description:
The Buckaroo Club — affectionately known as “the Buck” — is a true Anchorage legend. Established in the early 1950s (some sources say 1953) in the Spenard neighborhood, this no-frills bar has long been a gathering spot for working folks, fish camp crews, locals looking for a strong drink, and anyone with a few stories to tell.
Despite surviving the 1964 Good Friday earthquake and a significant fire in 1991, the Buckaroo Club remained steadfast, earning its place as a “working man’s watering hole” in Anchorage lore.
The venue’s address at 2809–2819 Spenard Rd stands as part of its authenticity, located in one of Anchorage’s most storied neighborhoods — a place with a rough-and-ready vibe, a history of pipeline-era boom, and an enduring bar culture.
