This Middle Eastern beauty is inlaid with a large green jasper composite stone in the center and coordinating stones on each side. This is a vintage Kuchi tribal bracelet from Afghanistan. The center medallion and stone is trimmed with ornate silverware accents. Each side also features double inlaid teardrop shaped pieces as well as a circle of inlay. This kuchi piece is made with mixed metals of silver coloring. It is nice and wide in the front but tapers to the back so that it is more comfortable to wear. A pattern of twisted wire and dots accents the edges and center of the piece. Lots of ornate detailed pattern on this one! Let your bohemian style fly free with this beauty!
Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
Condition: Good vintage condition, vintage patina consistent with age
Measurements: 5 1/2" inside plus a 1 1/2" opening, can be carefully adjusted
Width: 3 1/4"
Weight: 58 grams
Please examine enlarged photos for details and condition. Much more beautiful in real life.
I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love!
