Vintage Boy Scouts of America BSA WWII style canteen, original straps, hardware This belonged to my father-in-law who was born in 1925 so this is probably from the late 1930's. It is in very good vintage condition considering its age. Some stains here and there but no rips or tears that I can see.. Review pictures for details The canteen itself is made out of aluminum. It looks to be identical to the WW2 canteen from my father-in-law that I already sold on Poshmark. I can't take the cover off as the snaps are snapped really tight and I'm afraid of ripping the fabric. It feels like there are no dents that I can tell. The screw on lid is original and attached with a chain. The canteen cover is made of a heavy felt-like material in an olive green color with zigzag stitching The BSA emblem is still very readable on the front. The strap is original and the S hooks used for adjusting the length are rusty but still sturdy and intact. The canteen is 8" tall x 5" wide x 3" deep, approximately
