School Boy Planter Occupied Japan 1940's Shelf Sitter. He has a pen in hand he is either drawing or writing the book has some art work. His face is adorable and the details are lovely. There is a makers mark of a horseshoe on the bottom and made in occupied japan in red. He measures 6"x 4.75". He is a displayable. Has some craze lines in the glaze but it does not take away from him. There is two tiny chips on the edge of the foot. There is a tiny chip edge of the book. More descript in Comments:

uniquecollect Rest of description: Some minor age. There is some residue marks on the bottoms like an old sticker remains. Some wear on the bottom. Some paint loss but its minor. He is really a nice looking piece to display flaws expected with age and because of the material which is a ceramic porcelain. He is in displayable condition.
