Vintage Boucher Golden Bee Brooch

Created by a highly regarded designer in the vintage jewelry market. French born Marcel Boucher began his career by apprenticing in the 1920s for Cartier. By the early 1930s, he had moved to America and worked for Mazar Brothers. In 1937 he began his own company in NYC. The company remained in the family until 1972. He was known for his animal motifs. The 1 1/2”H x 1 5/8”W bee has a textured body and wings covered in sparkling crystals with two red faceted crystal eyes. Amazing details and depth. Collectible.
