Vintage Blue Ridge Pottery Cherries serving platter Cherry Bounce

Charming Cherry Bounce oval serving platter with hand painted cherries by Blue Ridge Southern Potteries circa 1930s or 40s. Made in Southern Appalachia, Blue Ridge was in business from the 1930s-1950s. Scalloped edges. Whimsical design. No markings on bottom, but clearly a distinctive Blue Ridge design called Cherry Bounce. This is a particularly pleasing and well executed example of the pattern (all were hand painted, so design and skill varies from piece to piece) with a great composition. The contrasting green border works so well (often it was red). No chips or cracks- just a few small marks that don’t detract from this lovely platter.
