Vintage Black Japanese Urushi Lacquerware Set, 1 Large + 5 Small Plates

A urushi-lacquered wooden tableware set: 1 vintage large plate + 5 matching small plates. The large plate and the small plates were made by different makers, but both are finished in a distinctive black style known as Zokoku-nuri (象谷塗), a traditional lacquer technique from Kagawa, Japan. They match perfectly and create a cohesive and elegant presence for the dining table. ★Condition: All plates are in excellent condition and appear unused. You may notice minor lacquer irregularities (small brown spots), which are original and common in Zokoku-nuri lacquerware. These are part of the finish and not signs of use. The large plate comes with its original box, which shows age-related wear and manufacturer information.
