This piece of theme park history will never be reproduced as Astroworld was closed in 2005 by the parent company, Six Flags.
Six Flags AstroWorld, formerly a popular amusement park in Houston, Texas, closed permanently on October 30, 2005. The park, initially an independent venture later acquired by Six Flags, was known for its themed lands, thrill rides, and its location within the larger AstroDomain complex alongside the Astrodome. It was eventually closed due to declining revenue, rising property values, and other financial issues.
