Vintage Bakelite Clip On Hoop Earrings Dark Green Chunky Hoops

Vintage dark green bakelite clip on hoop earrings. Acquired from a private estate collection, these retro Mid-Century era hoops are hinged at the base with a spring that automatically “snaps” the top closed on the earlobe. Simichrome tested for bakelite authenticity. 0.85” diameter and 0.25” thickness. Pre-owned condition with some wear commensurate with age: some oxidation areas that show a deep red color, but this type of color-change is common for old genuine bakelite; and fracturing at the interior around the spring hinge on one hoop as pictured, but still functional and not noticeable when worn.
