Vintage Austrian Wool Mountaineering Sweater

Insanely thick and warm boiled wool sweater. Perfect for a fisherman, hunter, bushcraft or mountain sportsman. Basically serves as outerwear since it’s so thick. This Austrian brand made pieces for extreme cold and wet weather…and these amazing vintage sweaters are quite rare and hard to come by. When I found this particular one years ago, I went searching for information. It took some effort, but I discovered a bush craft/mountaineering forum where a couple old timers were discussing the merits of these older pieces. Basically military/alpine grade, and much beloved. Similar to the more superior older pieces from Filson, Eddie Bauer(60’s-70’s), etc. It’s a pretty awesome sweater, but it’s way big on me and I have only reached for it a couple of times. Please see pictures for measurements. It’s in excellent condition and has been very gently laundered in natural, chemical free detergent and laid to dry.
