Vintage Austin Proding Tang Dynasty Reproduction Statue 8” x 4.5”

This is an 8-inch reproduction statue made by Austin Proding, depicting a Tang Dynasty-era person. The statue is made of porcelain and pottery and is a vintage reproduction. Statue came from an antiques shop owned by daughter of locally famous pottery makers, SherryMike, from Hallowell, Maine. She collected a lot of local and well-known artists. The item is undated by the artist. It belonged to a university collection. It has been in storage for 20-30 years. Beyond this I cannot date the item. However, based on similar work, I’d guess that this is from the 1970s. Smoke free, pet free home.
