Vintage “Artist’s Palette” Earrings by Designs from the Deep-Boutique

During the late ‘80s-early ‘90s, we showcased this studio’s jewelry, picture frames etc. in our “wearable art” NY gallery. These rarely found ,highly collectible designs from jewelry artisans Designs From the Deep are whimsical and eye-catching. Married partners Stephanie Dew & Larry Petrash were DFTD and created unique pieces in Mt. Vernon, NY from 1986-1994.Handmade earrings are decoupage enamel images over copper. Their pieces are stamped with their “Artists' mark” on the back. These are top quality pieces and capture the fun loving , unique style of the 1980s early ‘90s. Copper is older, heavy gauge. This design,often mistaken for a Lunch at the Ritz pair is approximately 3” length and clip on style. These were actually my personal pair that I used to wear in my store and in excellent condition. We also happen to carry a vintage knock off pair that is much cheaper made but sells very well -just ask me. These are original Designs from the Deep, converted to clip ons without the original card.
