Vintage Art of Chokin 24K Gold Edged Fan Plate

This is a decorative fan-shaped plate created using the Art of Chokin, a traditional Japanese art form. The plate is black with a 24-karat gold-edged rim and features an engraved image of a floral cart in the center. Made in Japan. Chokin is the ancient Japanese art of engraving copper and then gilding it with gold and silver. The engravings were originally used to decorate the armament of samurai warriors.
