Vintage Art Deco Glass Vanity Box featuring three Scottie Dogs on the sculptural lid with an embossed glass base with Starburst pattern. Painted in a wonderful jade green Inside.
Made in the 1930s, likely as a powder jar from L. E. Smith Glass Company. It is featured in a 1937 inventory book as “My Pet”, no 648 dog powder box. Ideal as a trinket dish or decorative vanity dish.
SIZE: Measures 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches diameter.
CONDITION: Glass is in amazing condition - free of chips and cracks. The green color lining is flaking significantly. Can I think it looks lovely as is, but it can also be removed (displayed as clear glass) or repainted, if desired.
