Vintage Art Deco Duraglass Diamond Pattern Pt. Jar

Duraglas (in a cursive script with only the first letter actually capitalized) was registered by Owens-Illinois Glass Company, based in Toledo, Ohio at that time, on September 23, 1941. The official registration number was #0390467. “First use anywhere” and “First use in commerce” was stated on the paperwork (submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office) to have been on September 4, 1940. A very nice Owens Illinois glass jar. In excellent vintage condition, no noticeable cracks or chips. Has marking "7" for manufacture in Alton, Illinois. A very nice addition for your favorite collector! Alton, Illinois Owens-Illinois Glass Company was made in 1946 and has a single 6 to the right of the Owens-Illinois manufacturer’s mark but with no period after the number.
