Vintage Armitron Silvertone & Purple Watch Promo From Virginia Slims NON-WORKING

Vintage Armitron watch with a purple face and silver accents. Perfect for any occasion. BEING OFFERED AS NON-WORKING. I believe it needs a battery and a cleaning. This was mine years ago and wore maybe a few times for work. The face is in good condition. There are some minor scuff marks on the silver part of the face. This a promo from Virginia Slims an Armitron watch. The watch face is purple with the text "YOUR TIME IS NOW IS YOUR TIME" printed around the edge and "Armitron" in the center.  The watch hands are silver, and the casing is Silvertone. Virginia Slims, a brand of cigarettes marketed towards women since 1968, partnered with Armitron to create promotional watches, often given away as prizes or incentives.  The collaboration between Virginia Slims and Armitron resulted in a range of timepieces, some featuring interchangeable bezels or unique designs.  It is an Armitron Analog Ladies Watch with purple dial. The back shows some wear and there are marks that can be seen where a battery was replaced. The back says: Base Metal Bezel Stainless Steel Back 25/6261 AL21E Hong Kong Movement Quartz Water Resistant 100 feet This would make a beautiful watch if refurbished. Has a black rubber type band which is has started to age and fall apart at the strap attachments. Reference: Brown Box
