Vintage Alpaca Silver Yerba Mate Calabash Gourd Bombilla Infusion Collectible

A beautiful, authentic, vintage calabash (hollow gourd) and bombilla (silver straw with a filter for drinking Yerba Mate). This 20th century calabash is mounted on a tripod and made of alpaca silver (German silver very common in American countries) and a silver-plated, brass straw. 4 stainless steel tea spoons are also included. Please note that the calabash is a cured, hollow gourd. The inside is similar to the look and feel of a hollowed out pumpkin. To care for a calabash, it should only be washed with water and air dried thoroughly. Measures approx. 4” tall and 3” wide.
