Vintage Alabaster Hinged Box, Violets Purple Flowers, Trinket Keepsake Box

Vintage square alabaster jewelry box, hand carved in Italy. This lovely trinket box has a transfer design of Violets / Pansies on the top. In good pre-owned condition, it does have a few small "dings" on the edges, and there is a bit of looseness to the hinge mechanism (it works fine currently, but feels like it may be looser than it should be). The gilded metal edging has a bit of tarnish also. Measures almost 4 inches on a side.
