Vintage Airedale Figurine

in order to get a few dogs that I wanted I had to buy a large box of dogs and these dogs do not look like mine so they belong in someone else's home. I believe that this is an Airedale but if it's not feel free to correct me. he is smart made in Japan he does not need batteries but numbers don't work well for me and I find that sometimes a common object like a double A battery will help to size him. he's in very good shape the only problems are around the bottoms of his feet which I tried to include good pictures of. if you have one in your home maybe this should be there too! I don't have a dog that looks like this I would enjoy it but I do not so if you do maybe he belongs with you....
