Vintage Afghan Ring Blue Lapis: Middle Eastern Brass Statement Large

This is a big, vintage Afghan Kuchi ring. It features a large composite blue lapis stone center. This is set into a mixed metal, brass colored setting. The setting is nice and large for quite a statement piece! The stone is set into a very wide bezel so that is sits up from your finger. An ornate, dimensional ethnic pattern is both on the bezel and the ring band itself. This is a unisex piece and can be worn by a man or a woman. Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.
