These are vintage clip-on earrings, so not for pierced ears. Theback of the clips are signed with the patent number "PAT. 156452", which is a known marker for pieces designed by Adolph Katz for companies like Coro and Lisner. This patent number dates to the 1940s.
They are gold-toned with art glass centers that are made to look like opals. There is patina on the back and a small area of discoloration on the back of one of the cabochons (see picture)
