Vintage Abalone Shell Floral Brooch in Silver From Alpaca, Mexico

Beautiful floral brooch or pendant with abalone shell petals. Unique and eye-catching design. It is from Alpaca, Mexico and is Alpaca Silver. In Mexico their 800 silver maybe sterling to their standards but it is not considered sterling silver even if marked 925 by U.S. standards. I always mark my Alpaca, Mexico as silver. It tarnishes and can be cleaned but it is not sterling silver. It has been tested and is 800 silver. It doesn’t matter to me because these pieces are just as beautiful as the sterling silver in the U.S. This brooch and or pendant is vintage and gorgeous with abalone shell. I see no wear. There is a bale so you can use it as a pendant for a necklace. No necklace included in this offering. It measures 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches long. It is from about the 1970's.
