Front depicts an African man dressed in traditional attire holding a Kinara, the candelabra that holds the 7 candles that represent the seven principles of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa being a harvest celebration, there is also a basket and table holding fruits and vegetables. The back of the plate explains Kwanzaa and at the bottom of the back of the plate is the name of the collection and the designer.
