This gorgeous necklace by Ingrid Cusson is in fantastic condition, as if a woman received this necklace from her husband in the 1980s, and then kept it in a drawer for 40 years.
The necklace features two entwined gold-tone herringbone serpentine chains and an attractive clasp. The large, curb type chains dazzle when they catch the light. The 16-inch choker necklace sits at the base of the neck near the top of the collarbone and feels smooth and comfortable against the skin.
Though the metal is untested, it is quite possibly gold plate over brass, a metal-combination (along with sterling silver plate over brass) that Cusson favored.
The necklace’s brushed metal clasp can optionally be worn in front, for an Art Deco or Egyptian Revival look.
This glamorous necklace is ready to go to your next special event!
Ingrid Cusson designed this necklace in New York in the 1980s, before she left jewelry design to pursue a successful photography career. Because of her relatively short jewelry design career,
her creations are highly sought after by collectors.
