Vintage 70s Kenner 8.5" Remote Control R2D2 Droid NO REMOTE Please READ

Vintage toy, manufactured by Kenner (at that time part of General Mills Fun Group), and made in Hong Kong, cat. no. 38430. Requires two C batteries and one 9 volt battery to operate. Last time we had the correct batteries for testing, it turned on, but there is no remote control with this item so we cannot check that functionality. Battery case in excellent, clean condition. Exterior plastic and glue points have discolored (particularly on the back right side) from age and light, but would make a fun restoration project for the hobby enthusiast. Wheels on underside of "feet" and droid "head" move. Some staining and wear to chrome "head." It's time to downsize! All items come from either my husband's extensive collection. All of the items have been stored in a climate-controlled, non-smoking, pet-friendly home. There may be signs of wear on items from storage. I am a private seller trying to downsize, not a big box store or seller, so I will only accept returns at buyer expense! Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding.
