Vintage 60s Thousand Eyes Pressed Glass Vase By Frantisek Peseny

This was one of my grandma's prized possessions and sat on her highest display shelf for as long as I can remember (1980ish) This beautiful vintage vase made of pressed smoky gray transparent glass was designed by Frantisek Peceny for Hermanova Hut in 1963, who is considered one of the best glass makers of the era. The vase is in original condition, without any damage or wear and its unique design makes it highly desirable and collectible. The design is called thousand eyes, or pressed thumb and is an example of Sklo Union Czech glass. Glass making has a strong tradition in Czechoslovakia and now it has been certified by UNESCO.
