Vintage faux pearl collar, made in Japan, "new with tags" from Lit Brothers in Philadelphia which closed it's doors in 1977. It has beautiful rows of faux pearls and silver lined bugle beads in a scallop pattern. This belonged to a fancy great aunt of mine from Philly who loved handbags and gloves and jewelry! This piece of hers obviously went unworn. Lined with what looks like silk, the collar is roughly 14" in diameter. Hook clasp. Made in Japan.
Minor "shelf wear" just from being stored. Has 3 pearls missing off the back edge and I tied a knot in the string so no more would come loose. A simple repair for a crafty gal. Please look at pictures closely for condition. This would fall into the "something old..." category for a vintage styled wedding!
From the estate of a former Ice Capades skater and avid jewel collector!
