Vintage 50s Mid-Century PIN UP Scenic Print Swimsuit Romper Paris Cotton VGC

Here is an adorable classic 1950s pin up swimsuit printed with a modernist rendering of Paris architecture (including a sign for famous cafe 'deux Magots') This feels like 100% cotton. It has a ruched back and adjustable button shoulder straps. It has 5” boning on the bust and side seams, however one side seam is missing the boning. It still fits well, and is in otherwise very good condition. The label reads ‘Fox Original ‘which, after some internet searching, we have learned is a Swedish label (hence the crown) On the back of the label is printed the numbers 1948 and 42, so perhaps this was made in 1948 and is a European size 42. This is truly a piece of history. Please do check the measurements against your own garment to insure proper fit. Measurements laying flat are as follow: Hip 14” stretches to 17” Waist 12.5” stretched to 15” Bust 15’ stretches to 18” Shoulder to crotch 29.5” The fabric itself is woven, not stretchy. The stretch comes from the ruching on the garment back.
