Vintage 40s Nancy Ann Storybook Doll 6.5" Sweet October Maiden #196 Bisque w/Box

This preloved Nancy Ann Storybook Doll is 6.5-inch frozen leg, painted bisque doll with auburn mohair wig. Her hair has come a bit loose from its style but still maintains some nice curls. She wears a portrait-style hat with open crown made of black felt and adorned white yellow ribbon. Her dress is yellow with a satin bodice, chiffon overskirt, and wide black lace on front panel. Safety pin closure on dress. Linen pantaloons. Black painted shoes (note small chip to paint on toe). Includes original pamphlet and box, which has some storage dust. A Sweet October Maiden Rather Shy, part of the Dolls of the Month Series, #196. Doll is in overall good, vintage condition, however please NOTE: she has some glue residue seepage from wig on face. I have not undressed her to inspect the entire body. It's time to downsize! All items come from either my mother's extensive doll collection, my own, or that of my sister and good friend. Items have been stored carefully in a climate-controlled, non-smoking, pet-friendly home. There may be signs of wear on boxes from storage. I am a private seller trying to downsize.
