Vintage 1990's heavy ceramic apple-shaped pie keeper with a glossy red finish that looks almost lifelike—very similar to a Red Delicious apple in color, shine, and shape. The molded form has a natural asymmetry to it, giving the lid a dipped apple profile rather than a perfectly even dome. The stem and leaf create a built-in handle, both detailed and easy to grip. The outer surface is deep red with subtle gradient shading, and the rim of the lid has a textured crimping detail reminiscent of a pie crust. The interior dish is a smooth creamy beige, sized to hold a standard large pie or baked dessert. This piece is sturdy, oven-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe (although I recommend hand-washing and drying to avoid dishwasher damage/fogging over time), making it useful as both functional bakeware and display decor.
