Vintage 1982 TOYO Japan Lacquer Photo Album Red Black Gold Japanese Motifs Gold Twine Title Card This piece is absolutely stunning. It is from 1982 and is part of large collection of all things vintage. Superb lacquer work on the front of this album, truly a piece of art. In octagon shapes, each presents with a gorgeous floral and fan design. The octagons in between are in red and gold diamond pattern. Small squares separate the octagons with gold and red single flowers. Bright gold twine/thread on the front ties the album together. Inside two screws keep the pages secure. Heavy thick rice paper is lined on the inside cover and first sheet. The next page is the "TITLE CARD" all in Japanese. There are four pages in the album. Two heavy rice paper pieces finish the back of the album. Lovely paper label on the lower back corner: TOYO JAPAN with Japanese Symbols. 12" x 11 1/2" x 1". Great vintage condition.
