Vintage 1980s Polo Ralph Lauren "Power" Bow Tie

The 1980s were the Golden Age of preppy culture, and the man who outfit them was Ralph Lauren. It was also the age of corporate decadence and "power" ties. I purchased this Polo bow tie at a high-end mens haberdashery circa-1985. The palette is navy blue, a rusty red, and cream. Even after 35 years it remains utterly au courant and looks as deliciously expensive as ever. It adjusts to fit neck sizes 13 3/4 to 17 3/4 in 1/4 inch increments. Made in the U.S.A. of imported 100% silk fabric.
