This was my senior banquet dress in 1978. It's hard to believe that even though we were high school seniors we had an open bar at the event since the drinking age was 18. I thought I was so classy back then in my spaghetti-strap, smooth, spandex type navy blue dress with the matching shawl. The dress ties in the front and has a zippered back and high, empire waist. At the time I was 5'4 and 104 lbs. Although it is very faded and hard to read, the dress is marked "size 4" inside. It also has a tag reading "International Ladies Garment Workers Union" which dissolved in 1995. It has a relatively small bust size. At the time I was a 32A but it could cover at least up to a 34B.
Not only would this make a lovely prom dress but it would also be nice for an upscale night out or any other formal or even semi-formal event. It is both soft and comfortable.
Measurements were made by laying flat. Actual bust, waist, hip and bottom sizes would be a little more than double these numbers
Bust (underarm to underarm): 15"
Waist: 17" (high waist)
Hips: 24"
Bottom hem: 34"
Length: 51"
The shawl that goes with it is 62" wide and 31" from side to point.
CONDITION: The dress is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. There is a small mark on the shawl from an iron but it is hard to see it and can be hidden by turning the shawl to the other side.
RETURNS: There are no returns on clothing so please read size information carefully and ask me if you have any questions!
