Vintage 1978 Durham's Motorized Daredevil Stunt Track Toy Car Tracks Non Working

It is missing one yellow strut, and the cars. I also tested with D Batteries and I didn't get anything to work. One red track is missing a tab, and one is missing a loop. I didn't see any others. I had trouble getting the blue loop & red track to snap in I did not want to force it.
