Vintage 1975 Anno Santo medal. Acquired from a private estate collection, this religious medal commemorates the Catholic Jubilee Year of 1975 with the theme of renewal and reconciliation. The obverse depicts Jesus and Pope Paul VI with text Pax Mundi (World Peace) and Anno Santo 1975. The reverse depicts the Holy Door (Porta Santa) of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Silver tone metal with brass trim. Nice solid weighty feel with substantial thickness. Rare and collectable. 1.5” length from top of bail and 1.15” width. Good pre-owned condition with deep patina on silver tone metal and verdigris on brass elements commensurate with age.
