Up for sale is a charming piece of childhood nostalgia: an original MT (Made in Taiwan) 6-string toy guitar from the late 1970s to early 1980s. These brightly colored plastic/plywood guitars were extremely popular as inexpensive children’s instruments and are instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up in that era. • Color: Gradient red with colorful rosette around the sound hole • 6 steel strings (still attached and surprisingly intact) • Black fretboard with molded plastic frets • Original silver plastic bridge and tuning pegs • Comes with its original cardboard box (shows the classic orange/yellow version on the artwork, typical of these sets – the red one inside was one of the color variations) • Box is worn and has some tears/age, but still displays nicely and protects the guitar • Marked “Non-Toxic Paint” on the box • Overall length ≈ 24inches (perfect kid-sized “guitarlele” scale) Condition: Very good for its age.
