Vintage 1970's well-designed vintage nutcracker with turned wooden bowl, smooth spring-loaded metal mechanism, and honest patina from years of use.
This is a solid, well-made vintage nutcracker paired with a large turned wooden bowl. The bowl appears to be walnut or a similar hardwood, with rich grain and warm color variation. Construction is substantial and well balanced.
The nutcracker mechanism is fully functional. It uses a spring-loaded, graduated serrated clamp that allows you to position nuts by size and apply controlled pressure. The design lets you crack the shell without crushing the nut meat inside. Action is smooth and responsive.
The metal shows natural patina. The inner spring had light surface rust and was carefully treated with a small amount of olive oil to restore smooth movement. The handle is painted wood; there is minor paint loss at the base, revealing the wood beneath.
No maker’s mark.
