Very cool vintage 1970s Levi’s white tab jeans with an unusual seam detail on the back pocket - three stacked horizontal lines rather than the typical Arcuate; I suspect these were from the Levi’s for Gals line that ran from the 1960s-70s (though the care tag puts this particular pair in the 70s - the date code is July of 1976). Factory 28 stamped on the back of the button, and a Talon 42 zipper. The bell bottom flares are homemade additions that were added at some point, made from an insert of a different kind of denim. Labeled a 32 waist and a 36 length, but measured at about 31 inches at the waist (about 15.5 inches or so across flat), and hemmed at some point with a 28 inch inseam. In my opinion, these fit like a contemporary women’s US 4-6, or US S (they’re mid to low-waisted depending on body shape, with the rise being a little over 10 inches, so keep in mind jean size numbers usually refer to body waist size - so a measured approximate 31 inch waist is smaller than a size 31 jean). A few small spots of discoloration, and a tear at one knee, with a partially attached patch behind but overall quite good condition for their age, and a unique and super fun pair of vintage Levi’s.
