Vintage 1970s Couture Designer Platform Shoes

Not only is this a chance to own a pair of genuine platform shoes with the chunky heels from the 1970s, but it is an opportunity to own a pair of couture shoes! Beautifully made, I always knew these as Christian Dior shoes when I wore them in the early 1970s. Unfortunately the label is worn off inside so I cannot confirm that fact. But you will note that they are stamped as All Leather and Made in Italy. They have the original leather laces that were made by wrapping fine leather around a cord. One of the laces has a damaged ending. If you want to wear them, I recommend replacing with new leather laces. All leather soles. In excellent condition for their age, because I only wore them for special occasions. They’ve been stored in a box in a closet indoors for the past 50 years. It’s time for a younger person to enjoy them !
