Vintage 1970s Alabaster marble apple, pink with natural red onyx strips

Stone fruit was popular in the 1960s & 1970s, and it's experiencing a resurgence today. These pieces were carved from alabaster marble, sometimes with embedded calcite; the stem is a natural wooden peg. The colors for this apple are shades of pink, with some natural onyx banding of white and burgundy red. One side features some crystaline, like a proto geode formation. Condition is excellent.
