Up for sale is an authentic 1967 varsity letterman sweater made by Detroit Knitting Mills (DKM), a well-known manufacturer of collegiate and athletic knitwear in the 1940s–1960s.
• Material: 100% Virgin Wool, triple-strand knit (heavy, durable, quality construction)
• Color: Bright red with cream chenille patches outlined in blue
• Front: Large block "O" chenille letter with blue outline
• Sleeve #1: White chenille "67" patch (Class of 1967 graduation year)
• Sleeve #2: White chenille star patch (denoting additional athletic achievements or multi-sport lettering)
• Interior waistband: Original chain-stitched personalization — "Tom Bernthal"
• Maker's Tag: DKM – Detroit Knitting Mills (tag intact, 100% Virgin Wool, Triple Strand)
This is a true piece of 1960s American varsity history — not a reproduction. The combination of the "O" patch, Class of '67 sleeve number, achievement star, and personalized embroidery make this sweater highly collectible and desirable for both vintage clothing collectors and sports memorabilia buyers.
