Vintage 1960s Motta Geisha Tin | Italian Confectionery Collectible

Scarce 1960s Italian Motta candy tin featuring a tall geisha figure, vivid lithography, and a format prized by tin collectors. Original Italian confectionery tin by Motta (Milano), produced circa the 1960s, from the Fantasia Caramelle Assortite series. This example features a full-length geisha figure rendered in strong, saturated color on a rare tall vertical format—a proportion that complements the subject and is notably harder to find than standard rectangular tins. The lithography remains vivid and well-balanced, with crisp detail across the kimono and face. There are light surface scuffs and fine scratches, including a few near the face; however, all key facial features are intact and unaffected. Wear reads as honest age rather than damage and does not diminish the visual impact. Many collectors prefer this level of patina as confirmation of originality. Interior retains its original gold-tone finish. Two small holes were added to the back at some point, likely for hanging Made in Italy. No longer in production. Examples in this condition and format are scarce, particularly within the U.S. market.
