This vintage orange house dress by Gilead is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. It zips up the front and has oversized pockets that are embroidered with sailboats, palm trees, and waves in blue and white.
It's in good vintage condition considering that it's 50-60 years old. There are a couple of light, small spots on the front as you can see in the closeup photo #9. Also, someone made vents at the bottom of the side seams as you can see in photos 6 and 10. Unfortunately, they just cut side vents with scissors rather than doing it it a reasonable way using a sewing machine. Personally, I don't think the homemade side vents are a big deal since this is such a casual dress anyway.
This dress is labeled a size Medium, but since it's vintage, may be slightly smaller than a contemporary Medium
I tried it on and think it looks really cute. I am a size 6/8 and 34/D and actually felt like this looked better on me than on the dress form (I guess there's a first time for everything, LOL). My body gave it a little shape, whereas it looks a bit loose and shapeless on the dress form. It can be worn with bare legs, but would be REALLY cute to wear as a tunic with a pair of leggings.
Please review the below measurements carefully to ensure this dress is a good fit for you. They were taken on the front with it zipped up and laid flat.
