Vintage 1960s Alison Ayres Saguaro Olive Green Mod Mid Century Sleeveless Dress

I love this dress! *Dress was clipped in the back for the photos of the front only, as the dress is a bit big for my mannequin. I wasn’t sure how to describe the color so I pulled out the Sherwin Williams paint sample stack and it looks like a cross between “Saguaro” and “Rural Green”. Dress features: Long center back metal zipper Sleeveless No lining Single button tab neck detail Center seam in front and back Faux belt that buttons in the back with a matching button Side seams Little darts on the back shoulders Darts from the waist up in front and back Nubby texture The only tag says Alison Ayres Original. There isn’t a fabric content tag. The fabric is kind of stiff and scratchy. It could be wool, flax, linen, or some other most likely natural fabric. I think you will want to wear a slip under it. Dress is in very good vintage condition showing little evidence of wear. The fabric is kind of nubby , so the very nature of it makes it have some bumps and fibers showing. You may be able to trim or shave some of them off if they bother you. There isn’t a hook/eye above the zipper, you may want to add them to help keep closed. Measurements are taken with the garment laying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy! Bust measured just below the armholes at widest part: 38” Waist: 32.5” Hips: 37” Overall length from center top of shoulder to hem: 37”
