Rare early-Cold-War-era safety boots made for the U.S. Army / Air Force industrial and field support branches. These are a steel-toe variant of the classic paratrooper pattern, built under Quartermaster contract in April 1952 (code 492).
Details:
• 12-eyelet lace-up height
• Full-grain black leather uppers
• Steel toe reinforcement (visible from toe box shape)
• Goodyear welted leather sole with stacked leather heel
• Inside stamped with Quartermaster insignia and date code
• Size marked: 7D (verify measurements below)
• Original stitching and laces intact
• Made in U.S.A.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition with normal wear for age — leather supple, soles solid, no holes or cracks. Quartermaster and sizing stamps remain partially legible. Cleaned and conditioned lightly to preserve patina.
