Vintage 1950s-60s Chanel Gilt Faux Pearl Rhinestone Necklace By Robert Goossens

Stunningly beautiful vintage, mid-century, pendant style necklace by Robert Goossens for Chanel circa the 1950s-1960s with a central poured glass faux pearl, surrounded by a halo of prong-set colorless rhinestones, nestled atop layers of soldered gilt chain-work that cascade like petals, with prong-set faceted faux amethyst, peridot, and topaz rhinestones. Some of the rhinestones are inverted, which adds a really lovely layer of aesthetic interest. Gilt chain is attached on each side, and meets in the back at a spring ring closure. The spring ring has an extremely rare early Goossens signature of “R.G.” About 20.75 inches in total length. Fabulous collector’s piece and exceedingly rare. I’ve had the piece both appraised and professionally authenticated. I will pass the authenticity certificate on to the buyer, and then of course everything over $500 goes through Poshmark authentication as well.
