Vintage 1950s Wicker Box Purse | Made in Hong Kong

This vintage wicker handbag was made in Hong Kong and beautifully captures the natural, structured style of the 1950s–60s era. The body is tightly woven from rattan and detailed with striking vertical strips of thin bamboo. It features a metal clasp closure and a flexible opening with a cotton fabric lining inside. There’s a working zip pocket on one side and metal rivet detailing throughout. The lining has discoloration consistent with age and one small tear at the bottom (about ¾”) that could be easily stitched or patched if desired. The exterior is in excellent condition—no splits, breaks, or structural flaws. This is a beautifully made and very sturdy bag, perfect for summer styling or for display in a vintage collection.
