Vintage 1950's, soft powder-blue mid-century pottery planter with a deer and tree-stump form, ideal for a small succulent or a florist-foam mini arrangement. Deer / fawn has a quizzical and whimsical head tilt.
This unmarked 1950s–1960s ceramic piece has the same simple matte-to-semi-gloss blue glaze seen in McCoy-era production, though it was likely made by a similar California pottery house. The molded deer and stump design fits right at the intersection of mid-century modern simplicity and playful kitsch-era décor. Works perfectly as a tiny succulent planter, air-plant holder, or a small custom arrangement.
