This is an amazingly rare Joseph Guttman Knitwear NYC cropped button knit cardigan sweater with metallic brocade embellishment 1950s era It features darts, half sleeve, gold embellishments, brocade texture, flower knot buttons, and the original ILGWU tag. It was made by the international ladies garment workers union. Made in the USA. Photos cannot capture its beauty! Bust 40” Length 19.5” Sleeve approx. 15” The sleeves can be cuffed to reveal the golden stripe underneath or worn naturally to reveal the lovely metallic gold brocade woven into the fabric. You can wear this buttoned up or open. It is your choice. The metallic details catch the light, as do the fancy buttons. This is a very rare piece.
